No auditions, no sheet music, and no pressure. We gather every Thursday evening in Neston to play, laugh, and have a cuppa.

What to expect

No auditions, just three chords

Music belongs to everyone. Whether you have played for decades or have never held an instrument, you will find a supportive group ready to strum along.

We provide simple chord sheets for classic folk, sixties pop, and familiar tunes. If you can tap your foot, you are already fully qualified to join us.

Simple and casual

Three pounds per session

There are no membership fees, termly contracts, or upfront costs. Just drop three pounds in the jar when you arrive to help us cover the hall hire and the biscuit barrel.

Common questions

Answering your worries

We know walking into a new group can feel daunting. Here is how we make sure your first Thursday is completely stress-free.

What if I can't play?

Do I need an instrument?

How does it run?

We love absolute beginners. We will hand you a simple chord sheet and show you the basic shapes to get you started on day one.

Bring your own if you have one, but we always keep a few spare ukuleles ready for visitors to borrow.

We play for an hour, pause for tea, biscuits, and a chat, then finish with a relaxed group strum-along of our favorite songs.

Ready to strum along?

Come along to Neston Community Youth Centre this Tuesday at 7:30 PM. The first cup of tea is on us.
